Inside our Cabin Shipping Container Showroom
Last week, Curated Properties hosted a party to show off their latest structure, the compelling new development known as Cabin. Located in Toronto’s West Queen West district, a neighbourhood which (fun fact!) Vogue billed as the second coolest on the planet, Cabin is an ultra-modern juxtaposition of trendy downtown dwellings combined with northern Canadian cottage stylings.
Giant Containers supplied Cabin with its showroom, a shipping container building designed in partnership with Mason Studio. It’s at the corner of Queen and Dovercourt, so if you’re in downtown Toronto, please check it out!
“Even in a vivid downtown neighbourhood, you need the refuge of a peaceful sanctuary to call home. Cabin’s intimate collection of stylish spaces incorporates authentic finishes and quality craftsmanship from Canadian artisans, designers and millworkers. It’s an urban interpretation of Northern Canada in downtown Toronto, a unique alternative to the conventional house, unadventurous condo and generic townhome. Cabin is an intimate, boutique building, housing 25 two-storey homes with living spaces on their lower floors and bedrooms upstairs. All homes showcase outdoor space for casual entertaining: yards, private rooftop gardens, mid-building terraces with expansive city views. Cabin’s exterior is clad in dark metal panels and wood, a materials pairing reminiscent of the rural getaway lodge.”
